Choosing Low Step-In Dog Beds: what to look for

How the way in differs from bed to bed

Coniston is an oval memory foam bed that sits close to the floor, with a rim for a chin. Newlands, Easedale and Burnmoor keep a bolster on all four sides but drop the front section, with profiled egg-crate foam underneath. Braithwaite has a bolstered edge with one corner cut open, so they can walk straight in.

All five have a waterproof liner or lining around the foam, and each product page sets out its sizing and exactly what is inside.

Can a bed fix stiff joints?

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. A bed is for comfort, not a treatment, and if your dog is in pain or finding it hard to move, your vet is the right person to ask. What a low way in changes is the effort of getting on and off the bed, several times a day.
