Which type of dog bed suits the way my dog sleeps?

Watch how they lie down tonight; many dogs settle the same way every time. Curlers tuck their nose under their tail and press their back into something, so they want walls: try nest and donut beds. Leaners rest a chin on the sofa arm, so they want a bolster or a dog sofa bed. Sprawlers lie flat on their side and want open surface, like a dog mattress. What size dog bed do I need?

With your dog lying on their side, measure from nose to the base of the tail and add 15 to 20cm. On walled and bolstered beds the stated size is usually the outside, so compare with the sleeping area where we list it. Between two sizes, size up. The size guide goes into more detail.

What's the difference between memory foam and fibre-filled beds?

Foam spreads weight and keeps its shape; fibre feels soft and cosy, but loose filling can shift and pack down. Our orthopaedic beds are built on foam. Many nest and bolster beds are fibre-filled by design, for dogs who want to sink in rather than be held up. What's inside our beds explains each filling in plain English.

Will an orthopaedic bed help my dog's arthritis or stiff joints?

A bed is for comfort. It isn't a treatment and won't replace veterinary care, so please keep talking to your vet. What a bed can change is the effort involved: foam spreads their weight instead of letting hips and elbows sink through towards the floor, a low front means stepping in rather than climbing over, and a non-slip base keeps the bed from sliding. Can I put a dog bed in the washing machine?

Usually the cover, never the foam. Most covers come off, and many machine wash at 30°C; follow the sewn-in care label. Coated waterproof covers wipe clean. The care guide covers the rest.

How does the [nights]-night trial work?

It starts the day the bed arrives. If it isn't right, tell us within the 100 nights, we arrange free collection from UK mainland addresses, and you get a full refund. It doesn't need to be unused. What does the foam guarantee cover?

The memory foam core of marked beds, for 5 years: if it loses its shape or support in normal home use, we replace it. It doesn't cover covers, zips, liners, bolsters or fibre filling, chewing or accident damage, foam damaged by liquid or washing, softening that recovers, or commercial use.

How long does delivery take, and what does it cost?

Own stock is dispatched in 1 to 2 working days and standard delivery takes 1 to 2 working days after that. Free UK delivery. Express is available on own-stock beds. Partner-warehouse beds take longer and say so on their pages.

Where is PawLunova based, and where are the beds made?

PawLunova is a small business in Yorkshire, run by Abbas. The beds are named after the Lake District places where the walking gets done.

How do I contact you?
