Big enough for you to lie down beside them.

Skiddaw is an XXL faux fur dog bed, 137 × 97 × 19cm, with an egg-crate memory foam core, bolstered edges filled with shredded foam and fibre, a waterproof liner and a matching faux fur blanket.

Some of the best evenings with a big dog happen on the floor. You sit down beside them, they shuffle over and lean their whole weight against you, and neither of you moves for an hour. On a hard floor or a bed that is too small, that moment never lasts. Skiddaw is 137 × 97cm, more than twice the floor area of a typical 90 × 70cm large bed, so a giant breed can stretch right out with room to spare, and you can get down there with them. The faux fur is the deep, warm kind they burrow into, and the matching blanket comes in the box.

What they get

Room to sprawl: 137 × 97cm and 19cm deep.

Egg-crate memory foam: A memory foam core that takes their shape, protected by a waterproof liner.

Bolstered edges: Shredded foam and fibre filling around the sides for leaning and chin-resting.

Deep faux fur: A soft, warm cover, plus a matching faux fur blanket.

Folds away: Foldable when you need the floor back, with a non-slip base when you do not.

Best for: Giant and large breeds who sprawl, and anyone who ends up on the floor with them.

Why it is worth the money

At 137 × 97cm, Skiddaw has more than twice the floor area of a typical 90 × 70cm large bed, with memory foam inside rather than loose filling.
